Scottish band Swim School was born in Edinburgh in 2019, with students Alice Johnson (vocals, guitar), Lewis Bunting (guitar), Matt Mitchell (drums) and Nairn Milne (bass). With two self-produced singles as their calling card, "Sway" and "Take You There", the quartet toured the local scene, before being interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, the release of the Volume 1 EP rekindled the band's activity, and they returned with new tracks on the follow-up Making Sense of It All. After a period of trio concerts, Swim School return to the studio to record their third EP Duality (2023), with new drummer Billy McMahon. The Lab Records-signed trio follow the same touring regimen in 2024, and stock up on new material for the Seeing It Now EP, including a cover of the Pixies' "Where Is My Mind". Released at the end of the year, Duality & Seeing It Now brings together eleven tracks from the last two years.
