SXTN

The two rappers Nura and Juju form the German hip-hop duo SXTN, which existed from 2014 to 2019. Since 2018, the two musicians have been concentrating on their solo careers. Juju was born Judith Wessendorf in Berlin on November 20, 1992 and is the daughter of a Moroccan and a German mother. Nura Habib Omer was born in Kuwait on December 24, 1988 and immigrated to Germany at the age of three with her Eritrean mother and siblings. Nura and Juju met in the German capital and founded SXTN in 2014. The following year, the hip-hop duo released their first single "Deine Mutter". Together with rapper Haftbefehl, SXTN performed at various festivals. The first EP Asozialisierungsprogramm was released in spring 2016 and the debut album Leben am Limit followed the following year, with which the duo reached 8th place in the German charts. The songs on Leben am Limit include "Ausziehen", "Bongzimmer", "Heul doch" and "Ich hab kein Feuerzeug". Their singles "Von Party zu Party" and "Bongzimmer" made it into the German singles charts. In the same year, SXTN performed at the Kosmonaut Festival. In their lyrics, Juju and Nura rap about topics such as prostitution, gender roles, drugs and the gap between rich and poor. In spring 2019, SXTN announced their split.
