Julien Bouadjie (born on May 2, 1996), who goes by the stage name of Tayc, is a French R&B artist who emerged in 2008 and began to promote his work through social media. His style of jazz-influenced R&B vocals allied to strong songwriting skills and classy instrumental accompaniment has built an impressive European fan base which has grown year on year. A Marseille native, Bouadjie relocated to Paris in 2012, where he studied acting before deciding to pursue a career in music. Alchemy, his debut mixtape, arrived in 2017 and was followed closely by a second mixtape entitled H.E.L.I.O.S just a year later. With his star on the rise, Bouadjie had a couple of guest spots on Dadju’s “Poison Ou Antidote” and Lefa’s “Trip” before dropping NYXIA, his much-anticipated studio debut, at the beginning of 2019. Sophomore effort NYXIA Tome II saw the light in June of that year and featured collaborations with Manu Dibango (“Ewondo ou Bami”), Ocevne (“Comme un samedi”), and Barack Adama (“Négligé”). In 2020, he returned with third album NYXIA Tome III and Fleur Froide, which earned him a nomination as Revelation of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards as the single “Vos Deux” climbed up to Number 57 on SNEP’s streaming charts. In 2021, his single “Dodo” entered the SNEP’s streaming charts at Number 23.
