Ted & Sheri

Memphis gospel duo Ted & Sheri enjoyed great success in the early 2000s, before disappearing for two decades and returning in 2024. Originally from Memphis, Ted Winn and Sheri Jones-Moffett met in The Voices of Binghampton choir, which they left to form a duo in 1995. Six years later, their debut album ...The Healing Starts Right Here was a big hit in the gospel charts and won a Stellar Award. Signed to specialist label Word Records, the duo released a second album, Celebrate (2004), which was again a chart hit. However, Winn and Jones-Moffett went their separate ways: the former launched his own label and enjoyed a new period of solo success, as did the latter whose 2009 debut album Renewed was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2021, the two singers reconciled and celebrated the twentieth anniversary of their debut album with the release of the single "God Can Heal It", followed the same year by a new version of "I'll Be Thinking of You" and "Now I Know", in collaboration with Texas band The Walls Group. In 2022, the six-track EP Again consolidated their reformation, followed by "Thank Him" and "You've Been So Faithful (Groove)", which marked the duo's return to the gospel charts.
