Tehosekoitin

Finnish alternative rock band Tehosekoitin was active from 1991 to 2004. Hailing from Lahti, the band's typical line-up includes Otto Grundström (vocals), Matti Mikkola (alternating guitar and drums), Ari Tiainen (guitar) and Hannu Kilkki (bass). Inspired by punk and early rock'n'roll, the band adopted a style somewhere between pop punk, garage rock and neo-glam rock, releasing the albums Rock'n'Roll (1994), Köyhät Syntiset (1997) and Varoittava Esimerkki (1998). After singing exclusively in Finnish, with the exception of the hit "C'mon Baby Yeah", subsequent albums Freak Out (1999), Rock'n'Roll Monster Movie Show (2000) and Rakkauden Gangsterit (2001) alternate with English lyrics. After the release of a first compilation entitled Golden Greats in 2002, "Lupaan" (2004) marked Tehosekoitin's swan song. Two subsequent live albums, Vauhdissa Livenä!! and Alive II, and the Sound Pack compilation, were released in 2010.
