Seamlessly blending garage rock, soul music, and early R&B with a healthy dose of psychedelia, the rock supergroup The Arcs was born in 2015 as a side project of The Black Key's Dan Auerbach. The band's lineup consists of musicians Leon Michels, Nick Movshon, and Homer Steinweiss, all of whom played a key role in the New York funk and soul music revival of the 2010s. Yours, Dreamily, The Arcs' studio debut, was released in 2015 via Nonesuch Records and reached Number 27 on the Billboard 200, also hitting Number 40 in the UK. The album featured contributions by the all-female mariachi band Flor de Toloache and guitarist Kenny Vaughan, and was supported by a promotional tour that included performances at numerous US festivals. In 2022, the group released its sophomore effort Electrophonic Chronic as a tribute to former member Richard Swift, who passed away in 2018. "Eyez," one of the album's singles, peaked at Number 40 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart.
