The Cinematic Orchestra was created in London in 1999 by DJ Jason Swinscoe. He has collaborated closely with co-writer Dom Smith since the beginning and they have made several albums and filled venues including London's Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House. The track 'To Build a Home' from their 2007 album 'Ma Fleur' can be heard in many films and television shows. The song topped the charts in 2017 after it was heard on Netflix's 'Orange Is the New Black'. Their other studio albums include 'Motion' (1999) and 'Every Day' (2002) and they have released concert albums 'Live at the Big Chill' (2007) and 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall' (2008). Another studio album, 'To Believe', was released in 2019.
