Founded in Grafton, New South Wales in 2006, The McClymonts are an Australian country music trio formed by sisters Brooke, Samantha and Molly McClymont. Singing in talent quests from a young age, the sisters were discovered at the Gympie Muster (music festival) in 1997 with eldest sister Brooke signing with Universal Records shortly after. Less than ten years later after gaining considerable experience as performers, the label signed the trio in February 2006, with their first EP The McClymonts released in June that year. Performing with popular country music star Lee Kernaghan on his sold-out tour saw the band’s first single “Something That My Heart Does” peak at number 3 on the Australian country music charts, followed by “Baby’s Gone Home”, reaching number 1. Their debut album Chaos and Bright Lights recorded in Nashville, Tennessee was released in November 2007, earning the trio their first ARIA nomination with second album Wrapped Up Good released in 2010 to critical acclaim, debuting at number 2 on the Australian albums charts, certified gold and earning the group an award for Best Country Album at the 2010 ARIA Awards. The trio repeated this success in 2012 with the release of Two Worlds Collide, taking out the 2012 ARIA, as well as Top Selling Album of the Year at the Country Music Awards. The trio’s chart success continued with the release of hit albums Here’s to You & I (2014), Endless (2017) and Mayhem to Madness (2020) earning them three more ARIA nominations and seven Country Music Awards, bringing their total to fifteen. In 2021, the trio collaborated with country singer Kaylee Bell on her single “Silver Linings”, peaking at number 5 on the country charts. In January 2022, Brooke McClymont competed in reality television series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here”, quickly becoming a fan favourite, performing “Star of the Show” with husband and musical partner Adam Eckersley and placing second overall.
