The paddles, a Japanese rock band from Osaka, Japan, formed initially in high school and underwent several transformations over the years. The band started under a different name in 2014 and transitioned to "the paddles" in 2017, marking the start of a more serious phase in their music career. They gained significant attention in 2018 by winning the Teens' Music Festival of 2018 and embarked on a 27-show tour to promote their third demo, HAKKA. Their success continued as they won the "RO JACK for COUNTDOWN JAPAN 18/19," securing a spot at the prestigious COUNTDOWN JAPAN festival. By 2020, the band had released a series of works, including the second mini album THE ERA with a corresponding tour. They released their third mini album efforts in 2022, followed by extensive touring to promote their new work. The year 2023 saw a shift as drummer Kogaya Kouhei took a break due to health issues, but the band continued their momentum, releasing the digital single "Blueberry Days" and a 1st EP Berry Heartbeat E.P., supported by another tour. 2024 was marked by new releases, including the digital single "If Only Forever!" and their 2nd EP All Time Love You E.P., showcasing their continued evolution and dedication to their craft.
