Dov J. Elkabas (November 5, 1968), better known by the stage name The Prophet, is an Israeli-Dutch DJ and one of the pioneers of hardstyle music in his native country. Hailing from Amsterdam, he kicked off his career as a resident DJ in 1983 at the disco Het Nijlpaardenhuis, where he first focused on hip-hop and then pivoted to house music in 1988. A few years later, he joined DJ Dano, Buzz Fuzz, and Gizmo as part of The Dreamteam, a hugely successful production powerhouse that made waves in the grabber music scene. In the early aughts, Elkabas founded the label Scantraxx and switched his attention to hardstyle, releasing numerous singles before dropping Louder, his studio debut, in 2014. Subsequently, he returned to the single format with “Wanna Play?” (2019), “Fiyaaah!” (2019), and “I Got a Dream” (2020), which consolidated his reputation as "The Godfather of Hardstyle," not just in the Netherlands, but in all of Europe.
