California-based power trio The Record Company are an old-school rock & roll band with a penchant for classic instruments and a pure, unadulterated sound refreshingly free from being over-produced. Many influences can be heard in their music but it is guitarist Chris Vos who gives the band their bluesy, slide guitar sound. Vos grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin before moving to California to pursue a career in music. In 2011 he teamed up with bass player Alex Stiff and drummer Marc Cazorla and The Record Company was born. The band have led a busy professional life, touring almost constantly across the US and opening for a diverse range of acts including John Mayer, B.B. King, Grace Potter and Trombone Shorty. Exposure to such a wide range of audiences has helped build the band's following and in 2015 they embarked on their first European tour opening for southern rockers Blackberry Smoke. The Grammy-nominated 'Give It Back to You' was the band's first full length album and after its release in 2016 the lead single 'Off the Ground' made it to number one on the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs Chart. In the same year Rolling Stone magazine nominated the band in their influential listing '10 New Artists You Need to Know'. They released their second album 'All of This Life' in 2018 preceded by its lead single 'Life to Fix'.
