Tim Atlas, born Tim Ferguson in Oakland, California, U.S.A, developed his musical talents while growing up in San Jose, participating in marching band, jazz band, and drumline while teaching himself guitar. After earning a degree in photography, he worked as a recording studio engineer, and performed with alt-rock band April Chase before releasing his solo debut EP, Lost in the Waiting, in 2013. Gaining significant recognition in 2015 after his appearance on the ninth season of The Voice, he released a series of singles the following year, including "Compromised" and "The Other Side". These tracks set the stage for his 2018 EP All Talk!, which garnered over 25 million streams, including 18 million for "Compromised," and drew comparisons to Toro y Moi, Tame Impala, and The 1975. He supported this release with a headlining tour across the US and UK, performing at major festivals like SXSW and The Great Escape. Continuing to make strides in the industry, Atlas released the EPs Together Lonely (2019), Quota (2021), and Le Soir (2023) which received critical acclaim for his "unrestrained and unapologetic" style. In 2024, he released his full-length debut album Enchanté, which charted in the Top 100 on the JWAVE charts and included the singles "Just a Baby" and "Stardust."
