Tinie Tempah

Still a teenager when he made his sensational breakthrough, Tinie Tempah rapidly established himself as one of the Britain's most exciting and successful hip hop artists. He was a 16-year-old student when he first made his mark with the track Listen To The Vibe, featuring Yazmin and DJ Ironik. It was used on Sony's Playstation game Wipeout Pure and a promotional tour in Europe with Sway and Dizzee Rascal followed. Tinie went on to shoot his first music video for the track Wifey, which became an underground hit, and topped the Channel U urban chart for 10 weeks. As his reputation grew, he shot to the forefront of the UK urban scene with Put The Knives And Guns Down, which came to spearhead the anti-knife crime campaign. Whilst his unusual and striking techniques also brought him to attention in America with Hood Economics Room 147 and Perfect Girl, things really took off in 2008 when his single Pass Out and Frisky reached Number 1 and 2 respectively in the UK charts; and his status reached unprecedented levels with the 2010 Number 1 single Written In The Stars (featuring vocals by Eric Turner). Tinie's trailblazing debut Disc-Overy topped the UK album charts and saw him cross into the mainstream. Another major hit Miami 2 Ibiza followed as he won two prestigious MOBO Awards in 2010 and the 2011 BRITs for British Breakthrough Act. and British Single.
