A member of the Latin punk scene in Los Angeles (California) in the 1980s, Tito Larriva was a member of The Cruzados from 1984 until the band split up in 1988. In 1992, Tito Larriva formed Tito & Tarantula, which became famous thanks to several of its songs appearing on the soundtrack of director Robert Rodriguez's Desperado in 1995. A favorite of Rodriguez and his close friend Quentin Tarantino, Tito & Tarantula were featured in the 1996 film A Night in Hell. In 1997, Tito & Tarantula released the album Tarantism , featuring songs from these two cult films. The rest of the band's career was rather lacklustre, with four unremarkable albums. Tito & Tarantula celebrated twenty years of recording activity in 2015 with a tour and the album Lost Tarantism.
