A veritable troublemaker on the American folk scene, Todd Snider, a songwriter with a caustic sense of humor and an acerbic, always intelligent style of writing, rose to stardom with a single, "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues", and his critically acclaimed debut album, Songs for the Daily Planet (1994). The American went on to release a dozen albums, often to critical acclaim, but with a relatively limited audience. A folk, rock and sometimes country artist, Todd Snider has nevertheless built up a solid fan base since the mid-90s.
