Toofan

A duo made up of Master Just (Fatowou Kossivi Sourou) and Barabas (Blaise Mensah Ayaho), Toofan is a Togolese group that originally included a third member in the person of Allone (Akue Goeh Adote), before the latter decided to try his luck solo in Europe. With the album Ogbragada, released in 2005, they inaugurated their musical universe, made up of hip hop sounds mixed with African rhythms. It was not until the following year that the duo really began to make a name for themselves locally, thanks in part to the track "Éperviers Ogbragada", in support of the Togolese soccer team, nicknamed "Les Éperviers", taking part in the World Cup in Germany. The same year, after launching a new concept with the "cool-catché" dance, Toofan followed up with the 17-track album Confirmation. The duo returned in 2009 with the album Carte de Visite, featuring tracks such as "Fiers d'être togolais " and "Pas de violence". Two new albums followed, Overdose in 2012 and Conquistadors in 2018, followed by hits such as "C'est gâté " in 2019, "Yé Mama" with Fally Ipupa in 2020, "Goumin Fracas" in 2021, "Ona " in 2022 and "C'est pas normal" in 2023.
