TraxX, originally known as The TRAX and later TRAX, is a South Korean music group formed in 2004 by SM Entertainment. The group initially consisted of Typhoon Jay (leader and vocals), Rose Minwoo (drums), Attack Jungwoo (bass), and Xmas Jungmo (guitar). They released their debut single "Paradox" in 2004, followed by single releases in South Korea and Japan. In 2006, Rose Minwoo left the group to pursue other projects. Shortly afterwards, the remaining trio released their debut album Cold Rain (초우), which peaked at number 19 on the national charts. The following year, Attack Jungwoo also left the group. In 2010, the band changed its name from The TRAX to TRAX, releasing their EP Cold-Hearted Man, featuring the lead single "Let You Go." Later that same year, they released the EP Oh! My Goddess. In 2011, TRAX released their third mini album, Blind, followed by a hiatus as both members enlisted in their two-year mandatory military service. In 2015, the group began performing again, and they overhauled their sound to return in 2018 under the name TraxX. They would now perform Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and featured the addition of DJ and producer GINJO. They released the single "Escape" that same year. In April 2019, Jay and Jungmo's contracts with SM Entertainment expired, and they left the company, effectively disbanding the group.
