Trazendo a Arca is a Brazilian contemporary Christian band, formed in 2007 in Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro. The group emerged from a split with the band Toque no Altar, a leading worship group of the evangelical church Ministério Apascentar. The band's formation included notable members from Toque no Altar, such as Luiz Arcanjo, André Mattos, Deco Rodrigues, Isaac Ramos, alongside Davi Sacer and Ronald Fonseca. Soon after their split from Toque no Altar, Trazendo a Arca released Marca da Promessa in 2007. This album was a success and solidified the band's place in Brazilian Christian music. The group followed it with Pra Tocar no Manto and Salmos e Cânticos Espirituais in 2009, with several other successful albums released over the following years. They firmly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in evangelical worship music throughout Brazil, becoming one of the country's best-selling music acts with approximately 8 million records sold. The band experienced changes in its lineup, but continued releasing successful albums and earning numerous awards, including consecutive wins for Música do Ano at the Troféu Talento. After a brief hiatus in 2020, Trazendo a Arca made a notable return with a reunion of its classic lineup for a special performance, resulting in the release of the album O Encontro (2022). In 2023, they released "Me Arrebataste (Ao Vivo)," a live performance of one of their most famous songs from their Toque no Altar days.
