Truls Svendsen (September 27, 1972) is a Norwegian comedian and TV host. Raised in the city of Tromsø, he relocated to Oslo with his family in 1993 and then attended the BI Norwegian Business School, where he met Harald Rønneberg. The two soon started an event firm and began working together on the late-night talk show Senkveld. This led to a series of high-profile gigs as a presenter for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, including Kroppen and E6 - en reise i nordmenns hverdag. In 2015, Truls Svendsen won Se og Hør's TV Personality of the Year award for his involvement in TV2’s Tjukken og Lillemor, an arctic exploration following the footsteps of adventurer Cecilie Skog. He would repeat the formula once again, partnering up with expert chef Eyvind Hellstrøm on the 2017 show Truls à la Hellstrøm. In 2021, the beloved TV figure made a foray into music on the singing competition Norges nye megahit alongside his girlfriend Charlotte Smith, winning the contest with the song “Når julefreden senker seg,” which would later become a Number 1 hit in his native Norway.
