Daniel Lena, better known as Unknown T, is a drill rapper from Homerton in Hackney, London. He was born on September 17, 1998, and made his rap debut with the gold-selling “Homerton B,” which peaked at Number 48 on the UK Singles Chart in 2018. The deep-voiced, street-smart single featured an infectious chorus and was praised by Dizzee Rascal, with The Guardian including "Homerton B" in a list of the year's top 20 singles. Unknown T followed this success with “Throwback," "Meat," and "Leave Dat Trap," all of which appeared in 2019 and charted modestly in the UK. A full-length debut album, 2020's Hate, was released shortly after the rapper’s seven-month stint in jail and featured an eclectic mix of styles, including trap, UK drill, and Afro-pop. Hailed by critics as a major step forward in terms of artistry, the album received rave reviews from renowned media outlets and charted at Number 14 in the UK. One year later, Unknown T returned with the Adolescence mixtape, which debuted at Number 8 on the UK Albums Chart and featured the single "WW2."
