The band currently consists of Lee Seungju (vocals), Kim Younghoon (guitar), Lee Jeonghak (guitar), Kim Jeongman (guitar), and Jo Seongjoon (drums). They gained early recognition after winning third place and a special award at the K-Rock Championship in 2004. The following year, they signed with Gom Entertainment and released their debut album Love in 2006. Their song "Tomorrow" was featured in the popular K-drama Princess Hours, further boosting their recognition. The band continued their momentum with Farewell & Tonight (2007) and Commonplace (2008), but went on hiatus in 2009 due to members enlisting in the military. In 2010, Vanilla Unity reunited with a revised lineup and released their third album, We Are Rising (2011). They participated in Top Band 2 in 2012 but did not make it past the top 30. The group disbanded again in October 2012. In 2023, Vanilla Unity reunited with its original members and released the single "Out There". They continued their comeback by contributing to the My Harry OST in 2024 and are set to hold a solo concert on December 18, 2024. They released their new single "Winter" in 2025.
