Voodoo Kiss is a power metal band from Germany founded in 1995. Achim Ostertag was one of the founding members. He later became famous as a co-founder of the German metal festival Summer Breeze. The idea for this also arose from the band history of Voodoo Kiss. In order to make the band known to a larger audience, Achim Ostertag and his friends decided to organize their own festival in 1997: the Summer Breeze. The drummer also played there with his band Voodoo Kiss. After a few line-up changes and without a release, Voodoo Kiss disbanded in 2000. Over 20 years later, the idea of a reunion arises. In 2022, the time had come and Voodoo Kiss celebrated their reunion at Summer Breeze, still with Achim Ostertag on drums. The band signs a contract with Reaper Entertainment. After the single "The Beauty and the Beast" (2022), the debut album Voodoo Kiss is released later in the year. The longplayer reaches number 48 in Germany. Feel the Curse, the second studio album from Voodoo Kiss, follows in August 2024. The album climbs to number 85 in Germany.
