…Whatever That Means

...Whatever That Means is a South Korean melodic punk band based in Seoul, known for energizing the local punk scene. Founded by married couple Jeff and Trash Moses, the band was born from a chance moment in 2009 when they performed at their wedding concert. Later, Bialy and HwangYong joined the band. They have since become known as the "pop-punk face of the Korean music scene," as described by Alternative Press. The band has a DIY ethos, co-founding the label World Domination, Inc. to promote Korean punk globally. Through tours in the U.S. and Southeast Asia, they collaborated with international acts like Burn Burn Burn and Iman's League, expanding punk’s reach beyond Korea. Their discography showcases their musical journey, with releases such as The Newest Hope (2010), Sounds from the Explosion (2011), and the Them and Us series, which captures Korea’s punk scene across key venues. Highlights include their split EP Blowing Minds & Melting Faces with Burn Burn Burn (2016) and Revolving Doors (2020). Their most recent works include Them and Us 3: Korea's Punks at Binary Studios (2022) and a Split EP with Japan’s The Skippers (2023), demonstrating their commitment to punk's global network.
