Xia

Kim Junsu (born on December 15, 1986, in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea), known as Xia, is a Korean singer, songwriter, dancer, and musical actor. He debuted in 2003 as a member of the boy band TVXQ, following six years of training, releasing four Korean albums, four Japanese albums, thirty Japanese singles, and several Korean singles over six years. After filing a lawsuit in 2009 to invalidate his contract, Kim, along with fellow TVXQ members Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun formed JYJ, releasing one English album, two Korean albums, one Japanese EP, and one Korean EP. Kim's solo career began in 2010 with the Japanese EP Xiah, which peaked at number 2 on Japan's Oricon singles chart. Later that year, he made his musical debut, playing Wolfgang in Mozart!, earning critical acclaim and commercial success, earning several awards for Best Actor. In May 2012, he released his first Korean solo album, Tarantallegra, which topped the charts in Korea, reaching number 9 in Japan and 10 on the US World charts, prior to embarking on his first headlining world tour. Kim continued his stage career, earning considerable accolades for his roles in Elisabeth (2012), December (2013), Dracula (2014), and Death Note (2015). His subsequent albums, Incredible and Flower, both reached number 2 in Korea, with 2015 EP Yesterday debuting at number 1, and fourth studio album, Xignature, released in May 2016, also topping the charts. Following his role in the musical Xcalibur, Kim released the EP Pit a Pat in November 2020, which reached number 7, and Dimension in 2022, which reached number 9. To mark his 20th debut anniversary, he released the digital single Red Diamond on August 22, 2022, in both Korean and Japanese. In 2023, he released non-album singles Red Diamond in August and the holiday track, My Christmas Wish in December. On June 12, 2024, Kim returned with the rock ballad Our Season, which peaked at number 99 on Korean streaming charts.
