Yami Safdie, born Yamila Safdie on October 20, 1997, in Haedo, Buenos Aires, is an Argentine singer, songwriter, and influencer. Her musical journey began at the age of nine when she started studying singing and musical theater. She further honed her craft at the Conservatorio Alberto Ginastera and pursued a degree in Performing Arts. At 19, Yami Safdie began sharing covers on social media, quickly building a significant online following. Her breakthrough came in 2021 when she signed with Warner Music Group and released her first original tracks, including "Caminar Sola," "Flashear," "FC," and "Pa' Quererme Así." In early 2022, she released "Como Si Na," a collaboration with Lautaro López, as part of her debut album Dije que no me iba a enamorar. The album featured both solo tracks and collaborations, with the standout being "El Bolero" featuring Milo J, which became a viral hit across Latin America and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 Argentina. Yami Safdie's rising star earned her nominations for Best New Artist at the TikTok Awards Night and the Premios Carlos Gardel in 2023. She also graced stages at major festivals like Primavera Sound Argentina and opened for Luis Miguel during his Argentina tour. That November, she released her second studio album, Sur, which included contributions from L-Gante, Omar Montes, and Gustavo Santaolalla. 2024 saw the release of the single "Tu Versión de la Historia" with cumbia singer Flor Álvarez.
