Yazmin Aziz

Born September 10, 2001 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian singer-songwriter Yazmin Aziz concentrated on performing arts during her education. After strong showings at a number of talent competitions while still a teenager, she released her debut single, “Lihatlah” in 2018 when she was just 17. The song, a biographically inspired tale about the effects of a broken home on a child, featured confident R&B inflected vocals. She produced three new songs in 2020 including “Cold Rainy Days”, a melancholy balled that showcased both her mature vocal and lyrical skills. It became the biggest chart success in her home country to that point. That same year she issued “Soul Connection”, which grappled with the global pandemic and feelings of isolation during quarantine.
