A member of the French R&B group Trade Union, with whom he stayed for a decade, the West Indian singer Yoan took part in the trio's 2007 collaboration with Booba on the track "Au bout des rêves". He launched his solo career in earnest in 2012 with the track "Emmène-moi". His zouk love style inspired by R&B, soul and reggae, which he listened to a lot after being rocked by the Caribbean music of Kassav' and Gilles Floro, finds expression in the following tracks "Baby", "Sauvons" or "Pas sans toi" (sung with Kalash), which span the years 2013 and 2014. In 2015, following the novelty "Obligé de liker", Yoan offers a debut album that brings together the aforementioned singles and welcomes contributions from Marvin, Milca and Trade Union. The collection, entitled Premier Souffle (First Breath), made it onto the best-seller list for November.
