YU

楊宇騰YU, born January 3, 1995, is a Taiwanese-Japanese singer-songwriter and actor known for his multicultural background, with a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother. Originating from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture in Japan, YU moved to Taiwan for his university studies, partly to fulfill his mother’s wish for him to learn Chinese. His entertainment career kicked off after participating in the 2016 campus collection in Japan, which eventually led him to train under a local talent agency in Taiwan in 2018. YU honed his skills in language, acting, and music during his training period and made his musical debut with the EP 我的夜無所事事 in August 2020. He also made a significant impact in acting with his debut in the dual role of Zhou Shu Yi in the web dramas We Best Love: No. 1 For You and We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd, in January 2021. Marking his debut anniversary, YU signed an exclusive contract with Amuse in August 2021 to commence his activities in Japan. He is currently enrolled at Shixin University's School of Public Relations and Advertising and at Ming Chuan University, studying Hospitality Management. His notable release "Coward" (2024) adds to his growing discography, showcasing his evolving artistic capabilities.
