Japanese voice actor, singer, and musician Yuki Nakashima (中島 由貴, Nakashima Yuki) was born in Wakayama Prefecture on 12 September 1997 and began developing an ear for music at jazz club in high school while also cutting her acting teeth as a child model. She landed a string of roles in television commercials and dramas while affiliated with the talent agency Amuse before scoring her big break in 2014 after winning an Earth Star Entertainment voice acting audition alongside Kanon Takao. Her victory led to the formation of the idol group Earth Star Dream and the following year marked her voice acting debut in anime series Teekyu. In 2017, she landed the role of Yūki Otokura in another anime television series, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, and later that year, left Earth Star Dream to pursue a solo career. She parted ways with Amuse and signed up with talent agency Beffect, scoring a new voice acting role as the character Lisa Imai in the multimedia franchise BanG Dream! and also joining the alt-rock band Roselia as a bassist in 2018. She debuted as a solo artist in December 2020 with album Chapter I, which peaked at number 24 on Japan's Oricon chart, and released follow-up single "Day of Bright Sunshine," which went to number 11. "Route Blue" came next, followed by second album Sapphire in March 2023.
