Tomori Kusunoki

Tomori Kusunoki (楠木ともり, Kusunoki Tomori, born December 22, 1999 in Tokyo) has carved a name for herself as a successful voice actor and singer across a variety of films, TV shows, and recorded music. After honing an interest in music as a young child, she joined her junior school brass band and was later encouraged to pursue a career in voice acting after developing a passion for anime. Her winning performance at a competition helmed by Sony Music Artists led to a signing with the agency and she stepped out as a voice actor in 2017, first landing a background role in the anime series Eromanga Sensei and later that year scoring her first main role as Kirara from the Japanese mobile game Kirara Fantasia. The next few years saw her secure several notable voice acting gigs, taking up her role as Hazuki Kagimura – the protagonist of the anime series Märchen Mädchen – in 2018 and the following year singing the series' ending theme of anime television series Assassins Pride, in which she also assumed the role of Melida Angel. In 2020, she launched her solo recording career with her debut EP for Sacra Music, Hamidashimono, the ending theme for anime series The Misfit of Demon King Academy. She released another two EPs in 2021, Forced Shutdown and narrow, but was subsequently forced to curtail any activity deemed too strenuous after being diagnosed with a congenital disorder. In 2022, she issued her fourth EP, Yarazu no Ame (Rain that comes down as if to stop people from going home) (遣らずの雨).
