3776, a local idol group dedicated to promoting Mount Fuji, formed as part of Fujinomiya city's 70th anniversary project. The group, known for its thematic content centered around Mount Fuji, underwent several member changes and iterations. Initially debuting as TEAM MII in 2012, they performed under that name until disbanding in 2013. After multiple lineup changes and the introduction of new songs related to Fujinomiya and Mount Fuji, 3776 eventually evolved into a solo project by member Chiyo Ide. Over the years, 3776 continued to release music that not only celebrated their local culture but also incorporated themes related to natural disasters, notably with the single "3.11" (2015) reflecting on Japan’s 2011 earthquake. Their unique approach included detailed narratives about Mount Fuji in various formats, from pop music to more experimental audio tracks. They achieved further recognition with the release of the album The Birth and Death of the Universe through Mount Fuji (2024) showcasing their dedication to thematic and culturally rich music production.
