British DJ and producer born in Liverpool on February 8, 1972, Adam Fenton aka Adam F is the son of rocker Alvin Stardust (1942-2014) and actress Liza Goddard. A lover of hip-hop and turntable scratching, he began by making his first EPs on the Metalheadz label co-founded by Goldie. After "Metropolis", the tracks "F-Jam" and "Circles " (ranked #20) preceded the release of his critically acclaimed drum'n'bass debut, Colours (1997), which won him a MOBO Award. In 2001, he synthesized electro and rap on Kaos: The Anti-Acoustic Warfare, featuring Redman, LL Cool J and De La Soul. The following year saw the release of the soundtrack to the film Ali G Indahouse, composed by himself. Founder of the Breakbeat Kaos label, Adam F is also known for his remixes of David Bowie ("Telling Lies"), Everything But the Girl and The Prodigy. He founded the specialized site Dogs on Acid and discovered the group Pendulum, then made his acting debut in the films The Heavy and Cuckoo (2007), not forgetting new remixes for David Guetta, Rihanna, Afrojack, Missy Elliott or Sander van Doorn. In 2012, he released the first track under his real name, "When the Rain Is Gone", then reunited with his accomplice DJ Fresh, with whom he had previously collaborated on "When the Sun Goes Down" (#69 in 2005), for the tracks "See You Again" (2012) and "Believer " (#58 in 2015). Meanwhile, he teams up with Doctor P and Method Man on "The Pit" (2013). After the release of the Elements EP in 2012, several tracks followed, in particular previously unreleased tracks that surfaced in 2018. In 2024, a remix of "Circles" heralds the album Colours Revisited (2025), in which Adam F updates the ten tracks of the original 1997 collection.
