Adriana Calcanhotto is a pop singer in the Musica Popular Brasileira (MPB) tradition who has had success in her homeland with a series of albums, appearances on popular television programmes and concert tours since she launched her career in 1984. She released covers of earlier hits and collaborated with artists as she progressed. Her albums include 'Fabrica de Poema' (1996), 'Maritimo' (1999), 'Cantada' (2002), 'Maré' (2008) and 'Loucura' (2015). In 2004 she adopted the name Adriana Patimpim for a children's album with that title and followed it with 'Partimpim Dois' in 2009. 'Micróbio Vivo' followed in 2012 with 'Olhos De Onda' in 2014, 'Loucura' in 2015 and 'Margem' in 2019.
