Born on 23 October 1993 in Kanagawa Prefecture, J-pop singer and voice actor Aika Kobayashi began acting and dancing as a child and made her singing debut in 2011 with the ending theme "Kimi wo Mamoritai" (君を守りたい) for the TV anime Freezing, which was released as a split single with its opening theme. In 2015, she made her debut as a voice actress in the multimedia franchise Love Live! Sunshine!!, playing the role of Yoshiko Tsushima, for which she is now best known. The following year, she became one of the permanent hosts of Love Live! Sunshine!!'s radio program along with Anju Inami and Arisa Komiya. In 2020, she released her debut solo single for Toy's Factory, "NO LIFE CODE", with two more singles following in 2021: "Tough Heart", recorded as the opening theme for TV anime Shin Chūka Ichiban!, and "Ambitious Goal". Her first studio album, Gradation Collection, also arrived in 2021, and 2022 saw the release of the Syzygy EP.
