Akari Nanawo

Akari Nanawo (born November 12, 1995 in Osaka, Japan), is a Japanese singer, musician and YouTube artist. After performing in an indie band for several years, Nanawo left to pursue a solo career, successfully auditioning for Sony Music in 2014. In 2016, she began uploading dōjin music onto Japanese video-sharing website Niconico, collaborating with DECO*27 and acquiring a loyal fanbase, releasing her EP Nekuraroido no Tsukuri Kata in July 2017. Making her major debut the following year, Nanawo performed "One Room Sugar Life"; the opening theme to anime series Happy Sugar Life. The song charted for nine weeks, peaking at Number 33 on Oricon’s weekly charts, becoming the first single on her first full-length album Flying Best: Shiranaino? Chimata de Uwasa no Dame Tenshi, released on October 3, 2018. Her second single "Turing Love" (featuring Japanese artists Sou and Piyo) was released on February 5, 2020 and used as the ending theme in Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It, followed by her third single, "Higher’s High"; the title theme to Warlords of Sigrdrifa, released on October 21, 2020.
