Alain Ortega is what you might call a "song backpacker". Driven by his passion for music, he has been a tireless stage performer for the past thirty years, and has enjoyed a multitude of adventures, from recordings to festivals. After winning the SACEM prize at the Festival de Lomme (Nord) in 1997, he became involved in shows, writing workshops and other cultural initiatives. The album La Porte du Soleil (2003) was followed by the compilation Entre Hier et Aujourd 'hui (2009) and songs on Le Fil du Rasoir (2010). The five-track EP Gecko is released in 2012, supported by a Gecko Tour that stops in Paris at the end of November.
