Alex Fernández, born Alejandro Fernández Guinart on November 4, 1993, in Mexico City, is a Regional Mexican music singer and the latest talent to carry on the legendary Fernández family legacy. The son of ranchera icon Alejandro Fernández and grandson of the legendary Vicente Fernández, Alex Fernández has inherited the rich traditions of the genre, showcasing a voice that has matured over the years to follow in his family's footsteps. With a strong background in both singing and piano, he was first supported by his grandfather, who, after hearing him sing, offered to produce his debut album. His musical journey officially began in 2018 with the release of his first single, "Te Amaré," written by Manuel Monterrosas. In 2019, he released his debut album Sigue la Dinastía, produced under the guidance of Vicente Fernández, who handpicked most of the tracks. That same year, Alex Fernández earned nominations for Best Regional Song and Best Ranchera Album at the Latin Grammy Awards and performed alongside his father and grandfather, delivering a memorable rendition of "Volver, Volver." In 2021, he joined his father on the Hecho en México tour, further solidifying his place in the Fernández dynasty. His sophomore album, Buscando el Olvido, was released in 2022. The following year, Alex Fernández dropped his third full-length Estoy a un Trago Más. In 2024, he collaborated with singer Majo Aguilar on the single "Cuéntame," which reached number 28 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart.
