Born in Phagwara, Punjab, India, Punjabi singer Amar Arshi has been going strong since 1991 when he released his debut album, Kala Chashma, and established himself as a versatile Punjabi artist capable of working across the fields of pop, film and dance music. His debut LP spawned a string of popular hits, including the title track, "Kala Chashma," and Amar Arshi followed the release in 2002 with his second album Aaja Ni Aaja. Amar Arshi's third album, Rangli Kothi, came out in 2006 and in 2009 his fourth album, Naa Chalda, was released. In 2016, "Kala Chashma" was given a new lease of life after the song was remixed for Bollywood movie Baar Baar Dekho and it hit the highs of success once again. In 2020, Amar Arshi reached out to a new audience and dropped a new album, Gora Rang.
