J-pop singer Amanogawa Kakeru, aka Amatsuki, began his music career by posting cover songs on video sharing websites including the Japanese NicoNico Douga, releasing an album in 2012 under the title 'Melodic Note'. By 2014 he had signed to JPU Records and released the three-track 'Hello, World' in the same year, which reached number three in Japan's Singles Chart. His next release, an album, was entitled 'Hakoniwa Dramatic' (2016). This was 15 tracks including 'Niji No Makou E' which is the theme tune for anime 'Minami Kun No Koibito: My Little Lover'. The album contains a variety of song styles; some cover versions and some original tracks. Amatsuki's trademark style is the use of synthetic vocals and his videos feature cartoon animations. He had some success internationally at this time as his songs became more popular on YouTube and he performed at the MCM London Comic Con. In 2018, he released 'Sorewa Kito Koideshita' featuring songs 'DIVE!!' and 'Mr. Fake'. He is known for his collaborations with other similar artists such as Kony and Shamuon who as a group are collectively known as Shamukonytsuki. He also performs collaborative tracks with Itou Kashitarou, forming groups such as Circle of Friends. A further solo EP album 'Ark' was released in 2019, along with the single 'Starlight Kiseki'.
