Anthony Evans

Son of the media-savvy pastor Tony Evans, contemporary gospel singer Anthony Evans was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 14, 1978. A graduate of Virginia's Liberty University, he began his career in 2004 with the album Even More, released on the Epic label, which reached number 17 in the gospel charts, before signing with Integrity Music, which released Letting Go (number 14 in the gospel charts) two years later. In 2008, he reappeared with EMI Gospel for The Bridge (No. 24), followed by a debut album of Christmas songs, What Christmas Means (2009). He then signed with INO for Undisguised (2010), before the label's name was changed to Fair Trade Services, for which he recorded Home (2011). In 2012, Anhony Evans appeared as a contestant on The Voice: chosen by Christina Aguilera to be on her team, he was eliminated at the battle stage, after singing a duet with Alicia Keys. This visibility was no doubt a factor in the performance of his next album Real Life/Real Worship (2014), which reached #2 on the gospel charts and #60 on the Billboard 200. Subsequently, the artist signed with the Sherman James label for the albums Back to Life (2017), Altared (2019), Revive (2024) and her second Christmas album, The Greatest Gift (2024).
