Asa de Aguia are a Brazilian band who play the musical form called axé, blending Afro-Caribbean influences of reggae and calypso with Brazilian pop and folk. Formed in Salvador in northern Brazil in 1987, the line-up features singer/guitarist Durval Lélys, guitarist Henrique Costa, bassist Levi Pereira, keyboard player Ricardo Ferraro, percussionist Gustavo de Dalva and drummers Ubajara Carvalho and Radi Santos Queiroz. They first garnered attention playing in their home city's Carnival and made their recording debut with an eponymous album in 1988. Other releases include 'Com Amor' (1991), 'A Lenda' (1005), 'Na Veia' (1998), 'Asa' (2000), 'Sou Asa' (2004), 'Turnê Comemorativa 20 Anos - Ao Vivo' (2008), 'Vale Night' (2010) and 'Asa No Trio - Ao Vivo No Carnatal' (2012). Durval Lélys made a solo appearance at Festival Virada Salvador 2019.
