Bank Band, a Japanese band, was formed in 2004 and has made significant contributions to the music and environmental activism scenes. They started their journey with a performance at Laforet Museum Roppongi in January 2004, marking the beginning of their enduring influence on the live music scene in Japan. They released their debut album Soushisouai in October 2004 and soon became known for their unique blend of music and philanthropy, heavily involving themselves in the "ap bank fes," a series of eco-friendly music festivals. Bank Band's involvement in these festivals continued annually, with performances in Shizuoka at the "ap bank fes," highlighting their commitment to combining music with environmental causes. Their discography grew with the release of various albums and singles, including Soushisouai 2 (2008) and Soushisouai3 (2010), with accompanying live DVDs that captured their dynamic festival performances. Their music often featured collaborations with artists like Salyu, enhancing their appeal. By 2021, Bank Band had released their "Best of" album, Soushisouai 4, and continued to participate in music festivals, adapting to online formats when necessary. Their 7th single "Kara" was released in January 2025.
