A geeky Swedish Tourettes sufferer making robotic beats on the home computer at his mum and dad's house doesn't instantly indicate chart topping pop star material and he probably wouldn't even make it past the X Factor judges. But when Jonas Altberg started posting his dance tracks online, he quickly became a cult hero in Scandinavia with nightclubs owners desperate for him to DJ at their clubs. Releasing his first two albums through his own website, he signed a deal with Warner Bros in 2006 and set about conquering a wider audience. Now You're Gone paved the way, catching the imagination of British clubbers and spending four weeks at Number 1 in the singles chart. The album of the same name also made it to the top of the UK charts, with follow-up single All I Ever Wanted falling just short at Number 2. He returned in 2009 with fifth album Bass Generation led by the single Every Morning.
