Swiss pop singer Beatrice Egli was born in Lachen on June 21, 1988. Even before the artist won the tenth season of the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS for short) in May 2013, the Swiss singer had already achieved considerable fame. At a young age, she performed at folk festivals, appeared on TV shows such as Musikantenstadl and Grand Prix der Volksmusik and released her own songs under the name Beatrice. Her first single after participating in DSDS is called "Mein Herz" and climbs straight to number 1 in the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Beatrice Egli goes platinum in Switzerland and gold in Germany for her album Glücksgefühle, which is released in May 2013 and enters the album charts at number 2 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The next studio album Pure Lebensfreude and the first single "Verrückt nach Dir" also become hits in German-speaking countries. In March 2014, Beatrice Egli receives the German music award Echo in the category "Newcomer of the Year (international)". The next album, Bis hierher und viel weiter, follows in October 2014. Beatrice Egli achieves gold status in Germany with the further albums Kick im Augenblick (2016) and Wohlfühlgarantie (2018). Beatrice Egli records her album Natürlich in Australia in 2019. In September 2021, the singer reached the top position in Germany and Switzerland with the album Alles was du brauchst . Beatrice Egli achieves the same feat in 2023 with her tenth studio album Balance.
