The German pop singer Anna-Maria Zimmermann was born Anna-Maria Tegeler on December 14, 1988 in Gütersloh. She took part in the TV casting format Mini Playback Show as a child and sang "Oma, du verstehst mich nicht" by Stefanie Hertel. in 2005, she took part in the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar and reached 6th place. In fall 2007, the debut single "Der erste Kuss" was released, accompanied by the band Jojos. A year later, Anna-Maria Zimmermann released her second single " Wer ist dieser DJ?" and reached 66th place in the German charts. Since 2008, the artist has performed regularly on Mallorca, including at the Bierkönig. Her debut album Einfach Anna! is released in December 2010 with the hit "1000 Träume weit (Tornerò)" , based on the original by the Italian band I Santo California. Shortly before, in October 2010, the pop singer had tragically crashed in a helicopter on her way to the Ballermann Award ceremony and suffered life-threatening injuries. Anna-Maria Zimmermann took a break until summer 2011 to recover from the consequences of the accident. After releasing further successful albums, she released the album Sorgenfrei in June 2018, which reached 16th place in Germany, 30th place in Switzerland and 36th place in the charts in Austria. She is awarded the Ballermann Award several times and once with the smago! Award and the Golden Antenna.
