Vanessa Mai

The singer Vanessa Mai became famous as a member of the pop band Wolkenfrei, to which she belonged from 2012 to 2015. During this time, she released her debut single "Jeans, T-Shirt und Freiheit" and the album Endlos verliebt. The musician was born Vanessa Marija Else Ferber on May 2, 1992 in Backnang. She began performing as a musician and dancer as a child and teenager. Her solo career began in 2015 with the album Wachgeküsst, featuring the single "Wolke 7". The album reached the top 10 in the charts in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. A year later, she performs together with other German pop stars on the "Das Beste der Feste" tour. This is followed by the album Für Dich (2016). Vanessa Mai then embarks on her first tour through Denmark, Switzerland and Germany. The singer reaches the top of the charts with the album Regenbogen (2017). The hit single "Und wenn ich träum" is released in the same year. The following album Schlager was also a huge success in 2018. The number 1 album contains the song "Wir 2 immer 1", a collaboration with rapper Olexesh. Further singles are "Mein Sommer" and "Niemals". In 2019, Vanessa Mai acts as a godmother in the TV show Dein Song. Over the course of the year, she released the singles "Beste Version", "Venedig (Love Is in the Air)", "Ja Nein Vielleicht" with a featuring by Stereoact and "Hast du jemals", which was created in collaboration with Xavier Naidoo. The songs can also be found on her album Für immer, released in 2020. In the same year, she takes part in the Free European Song Contest and represents Croatia. Her father is from there. Mai Tai, Vanessa Mai's seventh album, is released in spring 2021. The singles "Sommerwind" and "Ruf nicht mehr an" are released beforehand. After the two top 10 albums Metamorphose (2022) and Hotel Tropicana (2023), Vanessa Mai's tenth studio album Matrix is released in May 2024. The album reached the German top 10 again at number 7 and also entered the charts in Austria and Switzerland.
