Bejun Mehta is an American countertenor born into a musical family in 1968. After releasing a highly acclaimed album in his teens, Bejun Mehta devoted almost fifteen years to the cello, before returning to singing in 1998. His voice is sought after by all opera houses. His first album as a performer, Ombra Cara, was released in November 2010 on the Harmonia Mundi label. A regular performer in major productions, he sang the title role in Handel's opera Orlando , conducted by René Jacobs and released in 2014.
