Bestie

Bestie, a dynamic South Korean girl group from Seoul, emerged from the roster of YNB Entertainment. Comprising four members, Hyeyeon, Uji, Dahye, and Haeryung, they quickly garnered attention in the growing K-Pop scene and in the summer of 2013, the quartet officially marked their debut with the release of "Pitapat" with their performance on KBS Music Bank in July solidifying their presence in the industry. Bestie's musical journey continued with the release of their single album, Hot Baby, featuring the track "Love Options" on October 16, followed by holiday single "Zzang Christmas" and "Thank U Very Much," in February 2014. Celebrating their one-year anniversary, they dropped their fifth digital single, "Like A Star," in July which featured previous songs, "Pitapat" and "Thank U Very Much." These tracks were also included in their debut EP, Hot Baby, released on July 28, with the EP’s title track making a splash, reaching the seventh spot on the charts. Their star continued to rise with their second EP, Love Emotion, released on May 8, 2015, charting at number 8, seeing lead single, "Excuse Me," earn a spot on Billboard's list of Most Viewed K-Pop Videos in America, and later in the year, the group clinched the Next Generation Award at the prestigious Golden Disk Awards. Disaster struck however in January 2016, when Dahye experienced an unfortunate injury. In the face of this challenge, Bestie postponed their comeback with hopes of a new album release on the horizon, however this never materialised and Bestie’s final performance as a group took place on December 16, 2016, at the Military Year End Concert, with the girls leaving a memorable mark in K-Pop history.
