Big Tim

Big Tim is a DJ from Germany. Born Tim Köhler in Mainz, he was already interested in music as a teenager. He plays the drums and also learns to play the trumpet. A live performance by David Guetta sparked his interest in electronic music. Since the early 2010s, he has been regularly playing records himself. His hobby became his profession through a tour operator. His fame grew as a DJ for after-snow parties. Big Tim uses the coronavirus period to produce his own songs. He also releases remixes of well-known songs, including a remix of the Peter Fox song "Zukunft Pink". His version goes viral on social media. This is followed by appearances on the main stage of the World Club Dome and at Ruhr in Love. At the beginning of 2024, he achieved his first chart entry in Germany with the single "Alles ist relativ" at number 83. The song is the techno version of the theme tune to the TV series Schloss Einstein. In April, he delivered a cover version of the hit "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz". The version by Big Tim also features Heinz-Rudolf Kunze, who had already scored a hit in Germany with the song in 1985. The techno version reached number 88 in the German charts in 2024.
