Real name Nabil Franck Lawal Assani, rapper Blaaz, also known as Mister Blaaz, was born on January 27, 1988 in Kano, Nigeria. He developed an early interest in music, but it wasn't until 2006 that he really got into rap, initially as a simple composer and against his mother's advice. With artist Cyano-Gêne, he was one of the first to sign a contract with Beninese label CCC (Cotonou City Crew) in 2007. The two men reunited a few months later on the single "Où est ma monnaie?", which caught the public's attention and prompted Blaaz to launch his own career in 2008 with the release of the track "Aller-retour". This heralded the imminent release of a debut album, Ghetto Blaazter, which was in turn released in 2008. In the years that followed, Blaaz continued to expand his discography with a number of singles, including "Rien à perdre " in 2009, "Je vise la Lune" in 2010, "Tu me connais" in 2012, "Je vais vous tuer tous" in 2014 and "Satan sors de ce corps " in 2016. In 2018, his second project, Alpha, was released, preceding a new wave of tracks such as "Tu vas me faire quoi?" in 2019, "Moi aussi je me cherche" in 2020 and "Bitcoin (C'est ma vie)" in 2021.
